Anxiety Attack Symptom

There are many symptoms of anxiety attacks. One anxiety attack symptom is manifested physically in the form of nervousness and chemical effects. As you can see, every time a person is in danger, the brain sends an automatic signal to the nervous system to prepare for action, either for flight or fight.

Now little has been known about what usually happens to our body every time a person experiences an actual panic attack. What happens is that the body will use the two powerful subsections of our nervous system. They are the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system. They both have an important function to play.

The sympathetic nervous system is actually the one responsible for preparing our body for flight and fight responses, and the parasympathetic nervous system is the one that restores the system to its normal state once the danger or threat is gone. Since the parasympathetic nervous system is the one responsible for releasing adrenaline from the adrenal glands, when a panic or anxiety attack begins, there is a large chance that the rushed feeling one may feel will stay long for quite a while.

Then after some considerable amount of time, it is the parasympathetic nervous systems job to restore the state of shock to its normal state. So for example, if you had just experienced being chased by a huge Doberman in the street, and you managed to get away being bitten hard, it will definitely take you hours to recover from the anxiety attack symptom in your body.

But after some moment of relaxation, probably after you have shared that scary yet funny situation with your friends, your body then starts to relax a bit because talking is a form of relaxation. Soon enough the anxiety attack symptom is gone. So what really happens is, when you start to share you experience to others, your body is calling your parasympathetic nervous system to action. But please do take note that we cannot command our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. Everything goes on and off automatically. So your body then is the perfect survival machine. You just have to trust your instincts.
